simple thought sunday.

"And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also.  And God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth, to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good..."
Genesis 1:16-19

last night i just happened to get a good long look at the stars and moon.  it's kinda embarrassing to admit that i go months and months without ever really SEEING the moon and stars. but there they were, bright and beautiful, and...WOW.  They really are amazing. In Sunday School we're going through Genesis and the creation story.  looking at that night sky within the context of those ancient truths left me with two simple thoughts:

1. God made all that. if there has ever been a doubt that He is bigger and grander than i will ever understand, that should put it to rest.
2. I'm glad.

check out the sky tonight. it'll be worth it.
