recipe: citrus sunrise.

so, awhile back, luke and i went to Cold Stone Creamery for a little treat.  i decided to keep it fat free and ordered the Citrus Sunsation. holy smokes. it was so good that it was gone before we sat down.  that's embarrassing, but true. i chugged it like some sort of citrus-loving frat boy. anyway, i decided to adapt it, name included. hope you like it as much as i do!

Citrus Sunrise
     4 pineapple juice cubes
     2 lemon juice cubes
     orange juice

Dump your juice cubes into the blender. Pour orange juice to cover about 2/3rds of the cubes. Blend. Chug.

Notes:
  • "do i have to buy pineapple juice?"  no. just freeze the juice from canned pineapple. eat the pineapple, freeze the juice, done.
  • this is a starting point. obviously, if you want it to be sweeter, add more pineapple. tarter, more lemon.  lighter, replace some of the juice cubes with regular ice cubes.
  • and if you what a creamer drink, add a frozen banana. it's good, i promise.
  • **Update** just had a call-in question about this....by "lemon juice cube" i am referring to pure lemon juice. however, i'm sure that anything anything tart (strong lemonade, lime juice, etc) would work fine here. you just need something to cut the sweetness of the pineapple goodness.

just fyi, i discovered i hate lemon. recipe officially altered. :) and brenna said that it needs to be more "pink"....so maybe adding strawberries would suffice?
