strickly speaking, i don't really agree (sorry Chuck), but i'm looking forward to several things in the coming weeks and half the fun is in the anticipation.

1. my mom and aunt are coming to visit! naps and antiquing for everyone!
2. i'm going on a weekend away for a women's retreat!
3. spring is coming!

i kinda missed spring last year because we were packing up our apartment and taking care of an infant and not paying attention to the warmth and color that were arriving. this year i'm not going to miss it. i'm going to go on walks (nearly) every day and open the windows and cut fresh flowers.

it's gonna be glorious.

but i can't mention charlie brown without passing on this nugget of truth:
once when picking out a birthday card, my mom told me that i should consider "buying a Snoopy card. everyone loves Snoopy."  she couldn't be more right. Snoopy cards are indeed the little black dress of birthday greetings.
