condo: room by room.

let me show you the condo as it progresses one room at a time since my goal is to write short, frequent posts as opposed to giant, bi-yearly posts....and this will help stretch it out :)

let's start at the very beginning (a very good place to start)

I know what you're thinking..."is there supposed to be a difference?"
well, not really. as you can tell, we haven't done much except add a runner.

the reason it made the blog is because i'd love to get your opinion. what we're thinking of doing is taking down the gross little curtain (side window) and then putting stained glass in all the panes. question is, what color stained glass?  would you go with the blues/greens/yellows/rainbowbrightstyle? or just stick to one color in different tones?? hmmm.

also, should i try the "faux" stained glass first (my fabulous cousin Jamie did it, and it looks SO good) and see if i like it or just jump in headfirst and buy the real stuff??

help a sister out and let me know what you think!

if you're feeling handy, you should go for the real thing. i think one color in different shades would be classy! but they do have that stained glass decal stuff at lowe's. they have different patterns...you should check them out! and if you like it, then you could go for the real deal. i can't wait to see the rest of your condo!

I think the stained glass idea is awesome! If I were you, I'd google it :) Look and see what others have done and copy them. Or tweek what they did. Hahaha....it's hard for me to know without seeing it. That's why I was so scared that we built a beautiful house and then we screwed it all up by picking the wrong paint or countertop or flooring. Haha...it all worked out though :)

I'm excited to see your upgrades! I love before/after pictures! :)

i say one color, different shades....because i would think that neutral is better for resale value. you know, since you're moving to indiana soon. just kidding. :)

holy moly, my girl has a BLOG?! :-) I am so happy, yes oh yes. :-) I love you! And I like the idea of one color, different shades, sounds really pretty... I can't wait to see it!

Pros to multi-color is you could go with any other colors to tie into it, inside and outside near the window. Cons... it could end up looking like Rainbow Brite puked on your window. (Hm)
Either way I think stained glass would look gorgeous. Very classy way to have some privacy without needing to dust curtains :)
