have had some good conversations lately about what i'd like to do when there are no little people running around here anymore. good conversations in that they were interesting, not that i actually have the foggiest idea of what that will look like. it's a bridge i will cross in the distant years ahead, but in the meantime it tickles my thoughts and weighs in my prayers. that's probably why this quote struck me when i saw it today:
Faithful servants never retire. You can retire from your career, but you will never retire from serving God.
Rick Warren

whether i'm a lawyer or a stay-at-home wife or a circus clown in 25 years really doesn't matter as long as i'm living my life for Christ....my job title has changed before and probably will again, but i'll never "retire" because my purpose in life will never change and there will always be good work that "needs doing".
simple thought.
good thing it's sunday.

I would say go with the circus clown. Although I won't be visiting you when you are that persona...clowns freak me out!
