let's talk weather.
it's on my mind, because it is in fact the coldest, dreariest, rainiest, never-ending-non-Spring of my life. if depression had a weather forcast, it would be look like the past month.
to bring a little SoCal sunshine into my life, i'm sitting here listening to some old Switchfoot. ohhh, they are my musical happy place. they are the sound of my first glimpse of the Pacific Ocean, newlywed bliss, lazy Saturday pancake breakfasts with windows open and sun streaming in...
listening to the lyrics of Gone made me realize that my attitude toward this Spring has been all wrong. it's like i've been annoyed at the Spring that's actually here because i'm waiting for the "real Spring" arrive. ((catch that?)) foolish. if today is the day the Lord has made, who am i to be anything but joyful in it? noone, that's who.
so, before today and this season are gone "like Elvis and his mom", i'm gonna embrace it. permacloud and all.

I LOVE SWITCHFOOT TOO :) They have a new CD coming out, it probably sounds like all their other ones, but I still enjoy them :)
Switchfoot makes me happy too.
And seriously. I get it.
Can't you just see what a burst of color the Summer is going to bring after all this rain? Just wait, I feel it coming! We're gonna be blessed by beauty beyond reason! I'll prove it when I see you in June :-)
