n-night, sleep tight.

i just put sadietot to bed.
typical routine of bottle, blankie, jimmy, Goodnight Moon, a little song....all while rocking and cuddling. she never fusses before bed (the girl LOVES her crib) and enjoys the process as much as i do. she's done with bottles during the day, slurping her milk and watered-down-juice sippys, but i've held onto one bedtime bottle.  she's 15 months old and really doesn't need it anymore. i don't think she'd even miss it.  i just hesitate because giving her a bottle makes her seem like my BABY. call it my one sentimental holdout.

but i can't forget that with the passing of each stage is the dawning of another. like the constant babbling stage she's in right now. or her undying passion for stuffed friends and willingness to dance at even the lamest music (me singing Itsy Bitsy Spider, anyone?). it's not all fun and games, but close to it.

so tonight when i laid her down and said "good night, i love you, Sadie" and she replied with a sweet sigh and "ah doo dah doo he"....well, i guess you could say it's nice to know the feeling's mutual.

sweet dreams

So cute! I love bedtime not only because that starts mommy and daddy time, but because of the sweetness of their little routines. I read Goodnight Moon everynight to Kenz for almost 2 years. She still loves it... and so do I :)

Does she have the Bender sense of music or what? Cute routine. Wait till she starts reading to YOU!
