18 months.

chunky turned 18 months old yesterday and here are a few things i don't want to forget about right now:

18 months old and on a mission.

she loves picking rocks out of the landscaping and lining them up on the doorstep. this is usually accomplished with only one hand because she likes to hold dandelions in the other. ((real cute))

hobo sadie.

bath time is a whole new highlight, now that she's into bubbles. she likes to pick up blobs of bubbles and use them to clean her rubber ducky....and as soon as you say "bubbles" she makes a bee-line for the bathroom.

the one picture i have from Mothers Day.
my bad for taking it about two minutes before her bedtime.

we have officially entered the tantrum stage. the most ridiculous example so far being after she had just eaten a giant dinner and then asked for an apple.  i knew that she only wanted an apple because i had just taken it out of a grocery bag, not because she was actually hungry, and said that she couldn't have it. she immediately threw herself on the floor and started screaming like someone was trying to murder her. kicking. tears. it was hard not to laugh at the shear absurdity of it. we ignored her and within 30 seconds she was happily playing with one of her toys...sheesh!

chunky.

((GROSS OUT WARNING))  the other day while changing her diaper she was playing happily with her feet. i was talking and singing to her when, before i could stop her, she picked out some toe lint and ATE IT.  i then started gagging and saying something to the effect of:

 "ohhhhh, yucky yucky! (gag) Sadie!
 nono, yucky stinky (cough) nono!"

at which, the little stinker started laughing hysterically like it was the world's funniest prank. quite the jokester-in-training we've got over here.

extreme close-up.

she is the laughing, running, singing, disobeying, talking, dancing, snuggling little blessing that we named Sadie Rose White.  she makes us so proud and is constantly amazing us with what she can do and how much she understands. thanking God today for these 18 months and looking forward to all that is to come!

sweet sadie.

Hahahahahahahaha I am laughing so hard at the toe lint. Nasty! My kids would do that. Jackson found a "blue sprinkle" on the floor te other day. I tried hard to tell him it was impossible that it was a sprinkle. Didn't work. He ate it anyway. Spit immediately. "it's not a sprinkle mom." "oh yeah? What was it?" "it is Tay-do (play-doh) mom- yuck!"

Callie and Sadie are so much alike. Callie is seriously the same with collecting rocks and having a dandelion in her other hand. What do you think this means about them?
